We are looking for a Senior Researcher to join our team at the intersection of advanced technology and client impact. You will be responsible for leveraging Braid's proprietary engine to solve complex engineering design challenges for our international clients, together with your colleagues in the R&D team, driving automation and delivering significant value. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled, client-focused individual to make a direct impact on our customers' success and the evolution of our core product.
Braid works on engineering design automation. Our view is that producing a good design means reasoning about physics, geometry, and manufacturing constraints together, from first principles, rather than from patterns learned on past examples. This is a problem that more data and larger models do not solve on their own: it needs a combination of formal reasoning and learning, and people comfortable with both.
Our reasoning architecture replaces the draw→simulate→redesign loop. An engineer describes what a component has to do and our reasoning agent derives geometry that meets those requirements and can be manufactured, in hours rather than weeks.

As an Senior Researcher - Client Applications, you will be the crucial link between our technology and our international clients. Your mission is to understand our clients' most complex engineering problems and leverage Braid's technology stack to deliver automated and impactful solutions. You will work within our R&D team with additional focus on our customers.
You won't just be applying our technology; you will be instrumental in its evolution. By working on the front lines, you will identify opportunities to expand our engine's capabilities, turning bespoke client solutions into scalable new features that drive the future of our product. This is a high-impact role where you will directly contribute to both client success and our core technology.
Elsewhere this role could be called Forward Deployed Engineer but in our case you will be part of the R&D team with a particular focus on bringing the value of our platform to our clients.
